I am an approved Dog A.I.D. Trainer and Accredited Assessor.
Dog A.I.D. are members of Assistance Dogs UK and accredited to Assistance Dogs International. They provide dog training to adults with physical disabilities, training their own pet dog up to Assistance Dog standard. They do not supply trained dogs or puppies but help disabled owners to work with and channel the special bond and relationship they already have with their dog.
The main difference between Dog A.I.D. and many other Assistance Dog charities, is that the physically disabled owner learns how to train their own pet dog with the help and guidance of a professional trainer.
Dog A.I.D. will consider any breed or cross breed of dog, generally up to five years old.
If you would like more information on becoming a Dog A.I.D. client please go to their website www.dogaid.org.uk and complete the register of interest form.
